For this immersive display, we created a dynamic showcase to highlight the innovation behind Adidas’ 4DFWD shoe. The design of the displays was futuristic and sleek, perfectly reflecting the advanced technology of the 4DFWD shoe. Two showcases featured mechanical legs that mirrored the motion of a runner’s stride, demonstrating the shoe’s ability to transform braking forces into forward propulsion. The third display focused on the 3D-printed midsole, where the printed sole dipped into a green liquid evoking the innovative process of 3D printing used to create it.
The challenge lay in creating a seamless synchronization between the two mechanical leg displays. We developed a system where the linear actions of each leg mimicked the precise motion of a runner’s stride. Each display was meticulously calibrated to ensure their movements were synchronized in real-time. The third display, showcasing the 3D-printed midsole, was designed to immerse viewers in the manufacturing process, where the sole’s interaction with the green liquid highlighted the shoe’s cutting-edge technology.
A captivating experience celebrating Adidas’ vision and excellence in performance and design.
