For the opening of Dior’s flagship store on Avenue Montaigne, we were tasked with controlling the lighting for the storefront displays, transforming iconic Dior pieces into luminous objects. The window showcases featured items like handbags and dresses, with a special focus on the use of luminous toile a fabric that gives these creations a unique semi-transparent quality. These objects, were illuminated from within, highlighting their translucent beauty.

For the opening of Dior’s flagship store on Avenue Montaigne, a series of immersive window displays brought together iconic pieces, projections, and innovative lighting to celebrate Dior’s craftsmanship and heritage.
The store’s window displays featured iconic Dior pieces, where the use of luminous toile became central to the aesthetic. This fabric — often used in pattern-making — gave the objects a delicate, semi-transparent quality. Illuminating these pieces from within emphasized their unique textures and forms, creating an ethereal glow that highlighted both the craftsmanship and the understated elegance of each creation. In addition to the luminous objects, the projections of Christian Dior’s drawings and archives on an open book added an intimate, historical touch.
The challenge was to control the light to enhance the natural transparency of the materials, ensuring each piece glowed subtly from within. Additionally, the projections and backlit books required precise lighting synchronization to ensure all elements came together seamlessly. The lighting system had to be carefully calibrated for each object and display to create a balanced, elegant effect. The interplay between light and transparency, combined with the tactile beauty of the materials, created a captivating visual experience.
