At Paris Men’s Fashion Week, Dior’s visionary metallic runway saw models rising from square cutouts from the ground up. We crafted a scaled replica for the 30 Montaigne men’s windows.

The 2 windows synchronised the movement of 27 and 18 looks in smooth and endless looping motion.

Inspired by this cinematic vision, we reimagined the sci-fi-meets-couture drama for the 30 Montaigne men’s windows. Metallic tiles parted to reveal 3D-printed mannequins, rising in synchronized motion, dressed in looks from the 2024 Summer Collection. Each detail from the futuristic choreography to the bold silhouettes was meticulously replicated, culminating in two stunning displays featuring 27 and 18 mannequins.
The miniature mannequins, crafted using high-quality 3D printing, were revealed as they emerged from custom-designed Dibond furniture. This furniture acted as both a sleek housing for the motorized system and a structural base, with carefully integrated linear guidance that allowed for smooth elevator movement.
Technically, our challenge was to ensure that the miniature elevators operated seamlessly with precise motor control. The guiding system ensured smooth vertical movement, while the lighting system we developed highlighted the edges of the openings, creating a spectacular effect as each mannequin appeared and disappeared from view. This required careful synchronization between the mechanical system and the lighting, ensuring that the experience was flawless and captivating.
