As part of the Dior Montaigne Christmas windows, we collaborated closely with Dior’s window artistic direction to illuminate a series of architectural miniatures inspired by the life, heritage, and symbols of Christian Dior. This luminous installation pays tribute to Maria Grazia Chiuri’s creative imprint within the House for her final collection, ahead of Jonathan Anderson’s arrival as creative director.

Each lighting system is fully custom-integrated inside its respective model, enhancing shapes, textures, and narrative presence across the storefront displays. Soldered by hand, the installation requires meticulous craftsmanship and a deep understanding of lighting behavior inside miniature volumes. Every maquette demands a tailored approach to achieve even distribution, controlled diffusion, and subtle highlights.

To push the boundaries of precision lighting, we also designed a bespoke optical system produced through high-resolution 3D printing. These custom-engineered components guide and sculpt the light with micro-scale accuracy, enabling effects impossible to achieve with conventional hardware.

From hardware to firmware, the entire technological layer of the installation is developed and programmed in-house. This internal integration ensures seamless coordination between physical components, optical assemblies, and lighting behaviors, guaranteeing full creative control and reliable performance throughout the display.

A fiber-optic constellation system further animates the starry background, adding a dynamic layer of light and movement to the overall atmosphere.

For visitors strolling along Avenue Montaigne, the illuminated dioramas offer a moment of enchantment. Soft glows, shifting reflections, and delicate lighting accents bring each miniature to life, inviting passersby to step into Dior’s festive universe—where craft, innovation, and storytelling merge in luminous harmony.
